Strathclyde University Boat Club Fresher Info

Are you interested in trying rowing or sitting in a boat steering and winning? If your interested in either of these Strathclyde University Boat Club is the place for you. We also have a large social side to the boat club which generally involves heading out to the pub at least once a week for a pint(s).

If you’re interested in trying rowing for the first time, even if you’ve never been in a boat before then we welcome everyone who wants to try it. All you need is to come to one of the taster sessions at the start of the university rowing year, which this year is late September/early October. We have separate girls and guys squads but the club is run as a whole club for everyone. There are different squad captains depending on where you wish to row. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  FOr the easier ooption come and speak to us at the sports union fresher’s fair this year on Wednesday 24^th September 2008 in the Union on level 8 in Vertigo. We’ll be there all day so drop in and make yourself known. There is no pressure to join or trial for the club.

For the more experienced rowers and coxes we also have senior squads that have regular outings.
